Problems changing channels for recording

Hey,

I've been a long time user of gbpvr using a Wintv-usb2 recorder under XP Home. I recently moved and had to change cable provider. Verizon does not offer analog cable and requires a settop box. So I have been trying to set up a Hauppauge MCE Remote/IRBlaster to work with GBPVR and change the STB channel.

Using HIP and the alternative drivers for the remote I have been able to get the IR blaster to change channels fairly reliably when in the TV Guide and Live TV (CH + and -) modes.

However, it is not changing channels when I try to record programs. It seems to record video fine, but can't change the channel.

Any ideas how this might happen?

it's probably the rec. service logon, if using local system account, then 'interact w/desktop' needs to be checked for recording service to be able to talk to blaster hardware..
[usually the case when livetv works but recordings don't]

oh and you shouldn't need to use alternate drivers anymore, HIP works fine with windows driver also now...
[unless you just didn't have any driver at all, like some xp home..]
