Very minor problem:

Any ideas what might be causing these rogue (and empty) folders to be created in the gbpvr\skin2 folder. I generall use CS 4 but whatever is doing it, is also affecting the blue and slick folders.

Seems like someone has a "\" missing from their code somewhere

burndvd
internationalcinemalistings
iplayer
music
skinplugin4
skiptool
torrents
tv listings
weather

I am wondering whether it is related to some CS4 / skinplugin4 / CS4 skin install scripts.

[edit]: I wonder if skiptool, burndvd, gamezone, moviewiz are using a common install method?

It has to be that, the iplayer plugin or Music, since those are the only ones you have in common. I'm guessing it's the CS4 code though.

Downloading the code now to take a look.

Can someone post a set of pvrx2.*.log files showing when they applied a new CS theme?

I did a simple change from one theme to another.

However, earlier today I tried deleting the spurious folders and playing about with CS4 - but no extra folders were created, so if it is CS4 related, it may be to do with a beta version.

The original duff folders were created in March 2009 - from my download archives, I can see that I started playing with CS4 at the end of Feb 2009 and my current CS4 version was downloaded in April 2009 - I wonder what date gEd's folders show...

Maybe that is due to something with MovieWiz?

During the install of the CS4 skin, there is an install log created in the skin's folder. That will show what folders and files were installed.

I do not have any stray folders on my HTPC and I use the installer for all updates on it. I run only bare bones with weather, skinplugin, and MusicLibrary2 plugins on my HTPC right now.

There is also, nothing in the CS installer logic that would create those folders, and we don't even have that folder structure in our SVN.

Could those folders have been created from "zip" file downloads and you moved the files out?

Not being defensive, just saying I have never seen anything like this before.

I have to agree. I can't find anything in CS that would cause this. I think it has to be in one of the other plugins.
