Perferred Audio Decoder in Config

Having just updated to 1.4.7, my config.xml was (again) stripped of my preferred audio decoder setting (AC3) resulting in no sound. I don't consider this is bug, it is the way it is.

It would be nice, in the case of the HD-PVR, if this was either left alone during an upgrade OR, maybe more appropriately, placed somewhere in the Config. Maybe in the Capture Source for that device?

No big deal, it no longer confuses me, but it might a new person.

Your preferred audio decoder settings should already have been left the same after the upgrade, like all previous upgrades.

Yes, that.

I had "decoder" in my mind because I had just finished a marathon session of codec hell for something I wanted to play through GR-PVR (DirectShow), unrelated to this post.

I'll make sure its retained in future upgrades.

Thanks, it's the only way (that I know) that the HD-PVR can do 5.1 sound; I have to set it for AC3 and use my digital audio cable.

If that's changed, I'd be delighted to be wrong!
