Hi,

can you switch to the default blue skin, set the parameter "ShowRecordingStatusColor" to "true" in the "skin2\blue\tv listings\skin.xml" file, and check if the programmes are colorized correctly there?

If it works there, then it might be an issue with the images your skin uses to draw the programmes in combination with the parameters for "ColorizationMode", "ColorizationFlags" and "ColorizationStrength". For example, if the images are grayscale images and the "ColorizationFlags" are set to "SkipGrays", then you won't notice any colorization.

By the way, it would help a lot if you'd post your complete skin.xml file instead of some snippets - for now I can only guess what's going wrong.

Thanks. You identified the problem. I did what you said about the Blue skin and it worked.

In the Community skin, changing ColorizationMode to 2 gave me the effect I wanted.

In my original post, I had hoped that I identified the pertinent parameters so I could save you having to download, unZIP, and go through the entire skin. Again, thanks for your help.

Hi Guys,

First of all, I'm a total noob so that probably explains most of my problem Smile

I'm using MSN XMLTV scraper V.65. I had it all configured and working fine. But then I decided to install the TV listings plug-in. I did so and all was still well. But then I installed XmltvExtras.

I installed XmltvExtras.exe and the PostUpdateEPG.bat into my gbpvr directory.I navigated to the gbpvr directory using the command line, then ran the following line into the command prompt "XmltvExtras.exe c:\MSN_XMLTV_scraper_V.65\MSN_XMLTV_scraper_V.65.exe".
After doing this I didn't notice any changes to the TV listings. (No additional info)

Then I tried updating my listings by running the scraper. Now I'm getting errors like this when running scraper.

"Error setting headend preferences, aborting.
Verify cookies are enabled in IE.
Received: 0x343034"

Cookies are and have always been enabled. This is bad because I tried downloading the scraper again, installed it in a different directory, reconfigured the scraper again, and downloaded the listings. This worked the FIRST time, so I thought I had solved my problem. But running the scraper with the new settings.xml just produces the same error again. I deleted the XmltvExtras.exe and the PostUpdateEPG.bat from my gbpvr directory, but still getting error.

ANY help you fine gents could give me would be greatly appreciated. I made it all this way without asking for help, I was almost to the end. But now I have hit a wall, and unless I want to reconfigure and manually run the scraper everytime I need to update, I don't know what else to do (other than a complete reinstall of gbpvr Sad )

Thank you, Jon

Same here. I can download all day, so long as I don't close the scraper. When I close it and the re-run it, I get the error. If I reselect the provider and channels, it will download without a hitch - until I close the program. Stumped...
I don't think it's a plug-in issue as I don't use any plugins with it - just using it to download listings on it's own to be updated through GBPVR daily. I don't know if it's an issue caused by Firefox as it's set as the default program for browsing, but I set IE as default
and have same prob.

Hi Alibert,

installed latest release of GBPVR and TV Recordings do not open in either Blue (default) skin or CS4. Standard Recordings Plugin does open so guess something wrong with Skin here? TV Listings work fine.

Cheers

I don't know what "MSN_XMLTV_scraper_V.65.exe" is or does, but the "exe" file extension doesn't indicate that it is a xml-file. The XmltvExtras utitlity should be run against your xmltv-file e.g. a file named "xmltv.xml".

Both the tv listings and tv recordings are working fine here with gbpvr 1.4.7 and the blue skin, so I don't think that there are skin-related issues. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logfiles and I'll have a look.

Alibert,

Thank you for your help. I didn't go deep enough into that directory for the xmltv.xml Rolleyes XmltvExtras is now doing what I thought it would. I probably shouldn't being doing these things at 3am.Smile My listings grabber still isn't working. I seem to be having the same problem as nsti2tion. Once I close the scraper it won't run again without being reconfigured. Not that that's your concern. There is a forum for that application. I'll see if they can help with that.

Thanks again, there is NO way I could have gotten this far without your help and the help of all of those who contribute here.

Peace

Alibert you were right! Thanks for your time but I worked out it was a corrupted gbpvr.db3 database. Interesting though as you have bundled Listings with Recordings. Listings loaded and found a way through the problem and displayed fine but then couldn't get to recordings because of the errors.

Perhaps about time that this brilliant plugin was seperated? 1 x .dll doing 2 x jobs? When it works it works, when 1 is broken it breaks it all.......

Thanks so much for great Plugin.

Cheers

I am trying to get the TV Listings plugin to display all the extra data, but I am having no luck.

I'm using xmltv.org's grabber version 0.5.56

Its grabbing the data from schedules direct.

The data is pumped into gb-pvr.

The PostUpdateEPG.bat runs, and gives me the following message:
Code:
Reading E:\PROGRA~1\Devnz\GBPVR\xmltv.xml...
Found 2586 programmes containing extra data.
Searching for outdated programme entries...
No outdated programme entries found in TVListings database.
Mapping xmltv programmes to GBPVR programmes...
OK
Adding programme extras from xmltv to TVListings database...
Updated 2586 entries.
Finished.

the TV Listings.db3 file looks small (132k) and doesn't seem to change size.

And when I click on tv listings in gb-pvr, I get the vanilla show data.

I can't find any log files related to tv listings.

Thanks for any help in advance. I've been stumped on this for longer than I'd like to admit.
