ffs, this is an error you should NOT be getting. I suspect it may have something to do with an upgrade to GB-PVR. I will have to check this out. What version of GB-PVR do you have installed? I still only have 0.91.9 (or something like that) at home. I expect it's got something to do with 0.91.12b upgrade.
I couldn't find any older versions of GB-PVR at the GB-PVR Web site, so instead I downloaded the very latest version (12b). I got the same error message. The log file still had a stack trace at the point where I try to start live TV.

hrm, bad news, sub has confirmed that the sink hasn't changed, I'm now running v0.91.12b and it still works for me. I'm going to try and reboot and check everything keeps working.
post reboot: everything still working, so there's nothing wrong with 0.91.12b.
Is it possible that the evaluation of the moonlight encoder has ended and that is what's causing the issues?
Could either of the following be the case? --
Neither of my cards (WinTV GO or AverTV Studio) work with the Software Recorder, or
I haven't configured GB-PVR correctly to work with these cards.
By the way, I have GB-PVR working correctly on another computer with a hardware encoder (WinTV USB 2), so I know it can work. I just can't get it to work with either of these other cards.
