Did you create useropt.sh with a linux style editor? If so I don't know much about how CSI runs apps, but maybe you need

Code:
echo -n /share/Apps/mvpmcx2/bin/out.txt
/share/Apps/mvpmcx2/bin/mvpmcx2 -m pal -o component --edtv>/share/Apps/mvpmcx2/bin/out.txt 2>1 &

I will check on the logic for aspect ratio.

Yes, I used a Linux style editor (Notepad++). I will re-install the 9/9 version and see if zoom/ratio is then again correct and will try out the command line suggestion.
As soon as I have any result I will come back to you. Enjoy your weekend Big Grin

Ok, I had a look at the aspect ratio and it is fine. However In the new component 480 and 576 modes I have added I can't get it to start in full screen mode when the NMT is running in HD resolutions and I have decided to give up. If you want full screen you are going to have to hit the zoom key or use the SD resolution 640x576 for the GBPVR menu.

Martin, when using your 9/9 version and setting the NMT to the required resolution it allways worked correct.
Doing exactly(!) the same with your latest version, so without any command-line parameters it gives in spite off the zoom factor as set in the NMT always the same incorrect zoom/aspect ratio. This has therefore nothing to do with running the NMT in a higher resolution. GBPVR is running the same resolution as the NMT.
The GBPVR menu is set to 640x576 in both cases. As is said: I only replaced te program.

Have set the NMT now to 720p and have edited the deamon.cgi file directly to try out the command-line parameters. It only works when I omit the --edtv parameter. I get PAL (576i) which is o.k. for me for the moment. The zoom parameter has no effect.
When returning to gaya I get the normal menu screen but it seems to re-synchronize my tv-set on the component connection because I now see at regular intervals the resolution and aspect ratio window from my tv-set appearing. This normaly only happens when switching resolution and/or aspect ratio.
Martin, you are on the right track but certain items still need to be solved. Many thanks for all your efforts up till now Cool

Sorry as I said I am not going to spend anymore time on this. My monitor goes between 720p and 576p fine when mvpmcx2 starts and full and filll flags are respected. To try to figure out why it doesn't work on your monitor would be too much guess work. This isn't even a published feature of the NMT and although you were the first to ask for it maybe the next person will have a monitor that works like mine.

Martin,

1. Sorry to ask but do you have any idea what the reason is for the difference in zooming behaviour between the 9/9 and 11/9 versions when mvpmcx2 is used without any parameters?
2. My tv-set is switching properly from 576i to 720p but is does not seem stable in the last resolution. I do not have that problem when I switch natively between those two resolutions on the NMT.

I do understand that you are not prepared to investigate more time on this specific issue but please remember these problems the next you are again working on mvpmcx2.
Again many thanks for all your effort. It is very much appreciated!

Jos

In what mode? I've lost track of what you want to try without parameters. We are now talking possibilities of 480i/480p/576i/576p/720p/1080i/1080p and I have to treat them all differently.

It's very possible this is stable, it is not a supported transition for the PCH. I'd say even on a more powerful PC, automatic switching of all these type will not always be stable.

Don't worry I've got a good memory and if I find out anything that I think will help I will let you know.

I was only refering to zooming in 576i and 576p mode for your 9/9 version and 11/9 version. I have also tested the 480i and 480p mode with the same result but NTSC is not so interesting for me.
So in short: the zooming of the new added resolutions of 480 and 576 on component worked correct in the 9/9 version and not anymore in the 11/9 version. I did not test the other resolutions.
Hope to have clarified my previous posting.
