showsearch install on 1.4.7

Hello,
just tried to install showsearch on 1.4.7 for the first time.
i cannot see it on the plugin tab of config or in the slick pvrx2 menu. is there something else i need to do to get this working?

Yes there is much to do. This is considered an obsolete plugin, because it has no longer been deveolped or supported by the author.

The first thing is that all the plugin files need to be in a lower level folder under the \gbpvr\plugins folder (ie \gbpvr\plugins\whatevername\)

Secondly, in the gbpvr\skin\blue folder (NOT skin2), you will need at least background.jpg

There may be additional constriants, but that is it off the top of my head. No 3rd party skins support this plugin.

You may want to look into searchwiz, as a more suitable replacement.

thanks for the info.
I may not do all that.
I just wanted something that would easily show all the movies in the epg. any other ideas for doing this?
