Small niggle this..

If I go to the EPG and want to watch the live tv stream of a program I'm recording the only way to do it is to choose a program on a channel next door, get live tv going then channel up or down to the channel the program I want to watch is on.

Would be nice to have a "play" and a "watch now" button in the EPG

I just stumbled across this the other day, no idea if this is intended behavior or a loophole: with the show you want to watch live highlighted, press the Play button on the remote (or ^P on the keyboard I guess). It will give you the live stream if you have a tuner available.

You can also see the in-progress recording in the "Pending" menu under the "Recordings" menu. Select it and then select "Play" from the popup menu. Smile

yes but that starts at the beginning, I think these guys wanted it caught up, ie if 10 mins in, it started half way through.

Um, there used to be a key that would just to the end of the recording # (on the hauppauge remote) or something I think, it would just to the end of a in progress recording

I can't imagine why you'd want to catch up to real time. Then you can't skip commercials! Wink

That only works in Timeshift mode. Strangely, in any other mode, Control-O gives various info about the stream/file being played (resolution, video encoding, audio encoding, and if in liveTV it gives stream PID's as well).

Isn't "99 Skip" good enough to get the end of a typical file? That's what I use in testing.
