I'm having problems with audio synch (tried defrag already).
In live-TV mode audio is synched, but in recordings I get a 1-1,5 second lag on audio.

Machine: Athlon XP 2600+ / 512MB RAM / 160GB SATA HDD / Hauppauge Nova-T (90002) / ATI Radeon 9550SE (oh, and Intervideo demuxer)

Any suggestions?
Should I try the CyberVideo MPEG Demuxer or what is the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Try the Cyberlink or Showshifter muxers - I have never had any luck with the Intervideo one - it either does what you're seeing or it records jumpy/stuttery/garbled pictures and sound.

BTW, do you experience the audio time lag immediately you start playing the recording? I sometimes get audio sync. probs after watching a recording for a while - usually a RW/FF will get it back in sync. or stop/play/resume. It tends to happen with long progs/films after maybe an hour - I don't recall it happening with any recordings made with my analogue capture devices.

Cheers,
Brian

Got it now. Uninstalled Intervideo muxer (Which happened to corrupt Intervideo DEMuxer...) and changed to Cyberlink muxer + InterVideo DeMuxer. Works like a charm.

Thank you for your reply.

I hope you get on OK with the Cyberlink muxer - I like it with respect to quality of recordings but it has been known to crash the recording service on my machine (maybe 1 in 10 recordings). Then again, my machine decided to reboot itself about an hour ago for no good reason - time for a rebuild methinks!

Cheers,
Brian
