Hello everyone,

I'm getting no audio on Live TV; on recordings it is fine. It hasn't ever worked since install.

I've tried with the Audio Renderer set to System Default, SB Audigy 4 Audio, Default Directsound Device, Default WaveOut Device, and Directsound: SB Audigy 4 Audio. I haven't changed any other settings on the playback page.

The audio works fine in the original WinTV software.

I'm using:
Windows XP SP2
Hauppauge PVR-USB2 (using composite input)
SB Audigy 4 Pro

There is also an NForce audio controller built into the motherboard, but it is disabled in Device Manager.

I've tried turning up the volume as much as possible, but there is nothing there at all.

I've tried changing channel using the TV Guide (hinted by the sticky thread), but that doesn't help either.

This section of the GBPVR.exe-native.log looks relevant to an untrained observer:

Thanks for an excellent piece of software, hope someone can help :-)

I'm having the same issue with my Hauppague PVR-USB2. Hauppauge s/w works, and recorded shows contain audio, but no audio while trying to watch T.V. Has anyone been able to provide any insight into this?

Originally my system used a Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE, but I moved that to another system. I've run the clean tool from Hauppauge to get rid of all hardware, I've uninstalled an older copy and updated to the latest build of GB-PVR, and I still have the issue.

#3) PopCorn Hour.. I'm working on that one.

Hi there

I have written about this problem a few days ago, as I have no audio on my Digimatrix and the GB-PVR is the best piece of software I have seen...

I have audio when timeshifting and recording, but not on watching TV :-( I even tried another USB2 sound card, no luck...

Author was bery helpfull over email but he doesn't know what is wrong.

I do hovever firmly believe something is wrong with this software for USB 2 card we have, as ChrisTV, WinTV200, GotAllMedia, Showshifter alll have sound normally using same system (I did want to review this software that is why I was installing so many)...

On another computer I have Athlon 2200+ using same card same Windows XP sp1 sound works :-(

Could you guys maybe post detailed system specification of your hardware, meaybe we find a common thing? Asus Digimatrix has a 400Mhz Celeron and SIS mainboard (have to look at the specs).

Yours

Hello,

I have the same problem with my Hauppauge PVR USB 2. I am in France.

Tell me if you need info about my config.

Thanks, I'll wait for the next update. This was driving me crazy, as the Media MVP that I run from this does work fine. Just not on the computer itself. Strange....

Unfortunately it'll be a few weeks before I can get the next release out, I'm just in the middle of changing jobs, and old employer has got me working long hours up until the last minute.
