Hi - Hope this is the right area for this. I've been thinking of replacing my old
VCR with a PVR (say an MII120000 with a PVR-350). I've been looking at this
and other forums on the net but still have a few questions - sorry if they're a
bit basic!
OSD
There seem to be driver issues around the PVR-350 regarding the overlay
through its TV out. Is is possible to use the S-video output on the MII12K
motherboard instead? Ideally I want the system to be standalone as much
as possible - no keyboard or mouse, using VNC to manage most things
remotely.
I was also thinking of getting a Nova-T instead of the 350 to get Freeview
channels. As this doesn't have its own TV-out I'd have to use the m/b
output. Would this work?
Live TV
If I got the Nova-T I'd like to be able to watch Freeview channels live. Can I
use GB-PVR as a "pass through" device? Would it be better to split the TV
input cable to use separate signals? Can the PVR-350 work in this way?
Sound
I'm assuming I can connect the audio output on the MII board to the line in
on my TV. Or should I connect the audio and video to a SCART converter
and use that?
Thanks!
