I guess stattik might be able to help me with this, but I do not know how to post this specifically in his sub-forum.
I use stattik transcode script to convert mpg2 ATSC HD recordings to divx. It has worked extremely well in the past.
Due probably to errors on the stream or may be the BDA multiplexer that I use (ATI Mpeg Mux), there are cases where mencoder fails and the scripts hangs with a windows message error box. The script runs at night but due to the error it waits for some one to close the error message before continuing.
What this does is that if the script needs to run for 4 or 5 recordings , the system's memory is exhausted and the other recordings do not process or break the original recording.
Is there any way to tell mencoder to run "QUIET", like so many linux scripts that you add to the command line "--quiet" and the error messages are not displayed ?
I know that the script responds very well to %ERROR% variables if mencoder encounters an error, but due to that window error message, sometimes my recordings do not get transcoded and even worst, when I close the error message the script continues to the end deleting the original recording and now I have nothing.
