Title says it all really. I'm looking for a simple and free tool to merge 2 avi files into one avi file.

Thanks, that looks usable. Do you know if it can be done from a command line to make it easier to merge a load of avi files?

never tried to be honest. Maybe I think virtual dub is used in such tools as autogk and megui.

I think MKVmerge can do this aswell,
It will create an MKV file though, even if its 2 avi files so that might not be what you want but it will join the files together. I have used mkvmerge but cant remember ever joined 2 avi files, my recollection is yes as that was why i search out a program like it, i use it for mostly mp4 files these days
