2 tuners, OTA digital and analog

I'm trying to setup my system to use a PVR-150 set on channel 3 to record the output from my satellite receiver, and I have an HD-950 to record OTA digital channels (north America). The PVR-150 is working fine to record or watch whatever is on the sat receiver, but how do I set it up to view the digital channels using the other tuner?

2nd question is: how do I get the PVR-150 to change the channel on the Sat box when needed? How does GBPVR know when to use the HD tuner vs the analog tuner?

youl have to setup and epg for each source then gbpvr will use the correct tuner according to the epg info. youl need to setup a blaster to change channels on sat reciever

and if possible, use the svideo out on stb or video out, they always look better than using the rf out..[ch3-4] connect to the pvr150 analog inputs..

you have 2 source tuners, so have to setup 2 sources, 1 digital, 1 analog..
each with their own epg/channels...

I'm going to be doing the same thing in about 3 months with my DirecTV box (S-Video for the 150) & using a UB435-Q for OTA digital. Both will be using Schedules Direct.

I have the following questions:
Will I need to setup Schedules Direct for DirecTV & OTA?
Do I delete the OTA channels for the 150 & the DirecTV for the 435?
What's the average length of TV listings if you use the OTA listings? Can these even be used?
If I want to use the 150 with a $40 coupon converter box (composite input) till I get DirecTV...how do I tell the 150 what channels I want to record...rather than having the 435 record them?

I believe Schedules Direct will let you have two lineups with a single subscription, probably for just that purpose. Or you could use a single DirectTV lineup for your area that includes local channels and set up GBPVR to use one group of channels for the sat box source and another group of channels for the OTA source.

I think that is correct. If your DirectTV subscription includes local channels, you wouldn't need to delete them for the 150.

Something like four hours in North America, you will probably want to use SD data.

Since the timespan is so short, I don't think Sub has included support for it in GBPVR.

You will do that when you set up your capture source. If you want to use the 150 with two sources (say chan 3 from the Sat receiver and S-vid/audio from the converter box) you can set up two capture sources for the one capture device you have, and GBPVR is smart enough to know that it can only record one or the other if you try to set it to record two things at the same time (and hopefully tell your there is a conflict).

Unfortunately...I live in one of the few markets which don't have access to local channels & Direct will not allow me to get the locals from another market. That's why I got the 435 to run off my coat hanger antenna.

No problem at all. Just noticed it was an option while setting up the 435.

What I've done which worked for me is hooked the 150 on my older P4 that I've used for a couple of years as my PVR box to a DTV converter box tuned to whatever channel I wanted to record. Worked perfect & the picture looked SO much better than I ever had on DirecTV.

Will keep the 435 hooked up on my 7 box. Even want to get another 435 & run 2 tuners to record 2 different programs on my main PC & the 150 hooked to a converter now/sat box later.

When entering your Schedules Direct username in the capture source epg setup, you can add a semicolon ";" and the lineup id to the end. only the channels you have enabled in that particular lineup will be imported for that capture source.
