Glad, it's working could you enter the following via telnet and tell me what is displayed?

cat /tmp/tvmode

This will tell me if the the guide needs to be rewritten.

It comes back with a response "29" if that makes any sense?

A by the way ..

Is the a guide for how to setup for optimum performance? (like copying skins to PCH hard drive, or how to setup nework shares so you go direct to GBPVR)?

Cheers

Thanks again, In an earlier post I said to try -m 1080p and this should have worked because -o hdmi and --freq 60 are defaults. Assuming you tried that the re-install must have done the magic.

As for optimization this is a thin client so everything runs from the server, the blue skin is the fastest. There are quite a few quick remote keys on the wiki to navigate faster.

As for shares I guess you can post your questions and see if anyone answers. I have trouble just supporting the mvpmc share.

After a lot of effort I got GBPVR on Win 7 talking to my NMT (HDX1000) - PAL Composite.

However, I got a black screen / lock up everytime I went to LiveTV and selected a non existing channel. I altered some config settings and now I cant get LiveTV to work at all (only goes black screen and NMT too busy to even Telnet). I uninstalled and reinstalled mvpmcx2 using NMTInstaller and get same result.

I could play recorded TV and LiveTV while it is being recorded from Recordings Menu but not actual Live TV before reinstalling. Now even that doesnt work.

I'd prefer not to reinstall GBPVR as it was difficult to get all DVB-T Australian channels working.

Is there any description of all Config settings in Misc1 and Misc2 as well as overall architecture of how it all hangs together so I can debug further.

Compress and upload your GBPVR logs and I will have a look.

I've included the GBPVR logs and configs as well as the HDX1000 logs. I'm running out of memory with DirectFB when I run mv* from commandline on the NMT.

With DirectFB, once the memory get corrupted you need to power off to reset it. What I expect is your problem is you have edited config.xml to have invalid settings. For a PAL TV 720x576 is maximum and so when you add offsets you need to decrease the value. You have a second problem because your offset is not divisible by four.

I suggest setting the offset to zero to begin with, and then adjusting for your overscan accordingly. A good start with PAL is 640, 496, 40, 40

Will try. I've been playing around with config tonight. I installed also the Community Installer version. With shared version (Telnet) I get black screen all the time. With webservice I can play recorded as well as while recording, but live TV is blank. Will now set 640x496x40x40.

I also put in false for all transcoding in the config.xml for the NMT entry

Rebooting NMT makes mv* webservice disappear?
