So far I've made about a dozen attempts to record, but only one has succeeded - and I can't tell what's different.
The first problem was with the machine not waking up reliably - this I fixed by removing Scheduled.exe, which was installed with the Kworld tuner software (seemed to be overriding gbpvr's wakeful requests)
Now I schedule a recording, the machine wakes up appears to do the recording; after the allotted time I go to the recordings section and my new recodng is usually "ready" (but sometimes "failed"), but clicking on the recording produces a couple of seconds of blank screen followed by the recordings menu again.
If I dig into the place where the files are being stored (in this case I've set d:\gbpvr and d:\gbpvr\live) I see the recording of the correct name and time, with a .TS file of zero length.

there is nothing obvious in the logs. For example, this morning it should have recorded Thomas the Tank between 08:30 and 09:30 (nice short program for testing), but the recording service log showed

there was nothing in pvrx2.exe's or native's logs between 8:27 and 8:47 when I went back to look to see whether it had recorded or not.
Live TV is pausable and replays after pause, and there are traces of non-zero length .TS files around e.g.

[/SIZE]which suggests that the setup can record.
I noted at another time it should have been recording, there was zero cpu load with brief spikes to about 10% every 20 seconds or so.
I don't know whether it's significant, but there appear to be three entries in the pending log for each program, e.g.

Are there any other log files in other directories ?
Any ideas on what else to check ?
Thanks
