Adding extensions for External player in Moviewiz

I have the problem that sometimes GB-pvr can't play DVD-Menus. It is always the same discs that won't work so I am searching for a way round the problem.
The obvious way is to use the tab for external player and connect the ".dvd" to MPC instead.
The reason is that the .dvd virtual extension is not selectable (all dvds is stored as Name\Video_ts).

Is it possible to add this so I can play these movies in an external player from within gb-pvr?

here's all i got...
make a link[shortcut] to the VIDEO_TS dir....this will get you inside it[past xxx.dvd] and see files..
you can rename the link to anything..[usually the dvd name] it'll appear with a star after xxx*
then add .ifo to extensions, associate them with mpc-hc,etc.
then click on link [DVD name*] to get inside dir and then click on VIDEO_TS.IFO to start it up in mpc...
[mpc plays VIDEO_TS.IFO fine normally, with menus]

VIDEO_TS.IFO is the title, so you get menus, play any other .ifo to see just it's program separately...

when i register the vtsreader.ax from mpchc, even video library can play the regular .ifo's but not the title ifo [requires a dvdnav]
now if i could just find a directshow dvdnav .ifo reader filter...

OK, so if I add .ifo to the file extensions and edit the all db-entries to .ifo instead of .dvd, then I should be back in the game?

still have to make shortcuts for the video_ts dirs for each of them...
it's possible you could make a shortcut to the video_ts.ifo directly, instead of the dir it's in..
[should be better, then shortcut takes you directly into menu..no browsing]
and i assume you've already imported them all into db so have have to adjust them there..

adjusting in the db should be all you need for existing dvd's in db, but if you want to be able to browse to that file manually, you need a link[shortcut] to bridge the .dvd gap...
not sure how wovie wiz works internally, but if it just has entries like recordings screen, then yes, the adjustment in db should be all that's needed, skipping the shortcut creation...
[the db entry can act as shortcut, taking you directly to file you need, not getting tripped up by the .dvd wall] then as long as .ifo is played with mpchc, should be a go..
