How long to live-tv buffer files live?

Related to this topic: How are the live tv buffer files managed? Is there a limit of the disk that they're allowed to occupy before being erased? Are they automatically removed at all?

They are not automatically removed, but there is a limit of three(?) of them, and they will not grow over 1GB. So effectively 3GB of HDD space is set aside for livetv buffer files.
