I'll have to give this a go! To be honest, just having them in alphabetical order would make things a million times easier in GBPVR! Given you know how to spell the channel, it gives you some rough chance of finding it. Now it's near impossible and takes hours per channel...!

Hi - I just did a full rescan for the freesat card i've got and i can't get some channels to work (More4 and E4+1 to name a couple) Is there a full mapping list of what channels map to anywhere? I tried copying the More4 entry from the scan-n.cache on this thread into my cache file but that didn't work either

thanks in advance.

My working entry for More4

T:10729,V,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2042~P:8340~V:2369~A:2370~L:eng~PMT:268~TXT:2372~PCR:2311~N:>More4

Looks the same details to me but I am tired and only quickly glanced? Different format though?

The scan.cache generated by GBPVR PID grabber works on both my sat tuners - a Hauppage HD-S2 and a Compro S350. However the actual scan was done on the Compro so maybe it is not returning some data that your card needs? By copying and editing strings in your scan.cache that do work, you should be able to add any missing ones - attached pic is all the settings available;

Also remember that after editing your scan.cache or copying a line into it, the channel will not automatically start working - you do have to click on the drop-down list and select your new cache entry. This is because unless you use the delete mappings button, config remembers your old tuning string, even if you have subsequently replaced it or changed it. If you have mutiple entries in the cache with the same name, you can use the preview inset to work out which entry is the correct one.

The info steeb posted about More4 was spot on and i've now got More4 working. I tried installing dvbdream to workout the settings but i'm having problems with my technisat card and dvbdream. Could you post the settings for E4+1 so that i can that work.

There's definitely some weird stuff going on with my new scan.

Anyway for what it's worth my latest that seems to work on all channels, attached.

If it is appended (manual edit) then that's the one that's working because the new scan didn't work.......

Cheers

I too have had to re-scan after the last re-shuffle and I lost More4 as well. Strange thing is it's there in the scan but doesn't work. BBC2 (England) has also gone from fully working to sound with no video :eek:

I've compared the scan results with the data at Kingofsat.net and find discrepancies in what GBPVR has put in the scan.cache file.

An example from the GBPVR scan would be:-
T:10773,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2045~P:6302~V:5018~A:5101~L:eng~PMT:258~TXT:5103~PCR:5100~N:>BBC 2 England

Kingofsat say V:5100~ should be correct. Edit my scan.cache file and voila....BBC2 is back.

The scan results are the same (and incorrect) every time.

Why would GBPVR consistently get this wrong?
