When I start "TuningAssistant.exe" the Card Type is unknown

The Tuning Assistant is only for analog cards, and not something you need.

Did you setup your capture, along with the EPG so that it now your channels, and do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step?

I have set the recording source: Digital Recording Plugin, Device Type: Creatix SAA 7131DVB-S. Device Number 1. Type DVB-S. All Countries. Astra 1c. LNB LOF1 9750. LNB Switch 11700. LNB LOF2 10600. DiSEqC none.
EPG Source: XMLTV Plugin
In the field Channels there is nothing listed :confused:
If I push the button "Update EPG" a window opens:"The system is now updating .... saving new listings and channel information."
This window closes after a few seconds.

What is to do to get the channels from the satellite (channel search)?

Did you point the XMLTV plugin at an XMLTV file containing your channel list?

I choose the XMTV Plugin because it was set as default :o
I even changed to DVB EPG Broadcast. Then I can push the button "Map digital channels to EPG channels". A window opens "Digital channel mapping" and it counts "Scanning 1 of 6" til 6 of 6. Then there is an error message: No channels found. Please check your signal and configuration settings.

When you use the XMLTV plugin, you're effectively telling the application "I'll supply a text file that has a list of all the channels, and all the shows on those channels".

The DVB EPG option is instead saying "download the EPG from the DVB broadcast".

I even changed to DVB EPG Broadcast. Then I can push the button "Map digital channels to EPG channels". A window opens "Digital channel mapping" and it counts "Scanning 1 of 6" til 6 of 6. Then there is an error message: No channels found. Please check your signal and configuration settings.

Do this again, then post your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Everything looks fine in those logs, but device never managed to lock onto a signal. Maybe you've entered the wrong LNB settings?

the LNB settings are: 9750 and 10600. That must be right, because Windows Media Center and other software works with it.
What LNB Switch 11700 means - I don´t know!?

1) LNB switch 11700 is fine.
2) Try setting the Sat to Astra 1E,1F,1G,1H,1KR,2C.
Then scan again.
3) DVB EPG should work best for Germany.

What type of LNB are you using? Single, Quad, or a multswitch setup?

i selected the wrong satellite (Astra 1c)!

Now the channels are all listed. Only I don´t understand the difference between (for example): Das Erste, Das Erste (Audio#2), Das Erste (Audio#2)(AC3).
