Can anybody advise on the best resolution to use in slick for pictures in the background? I assumed it would be the resolution of the display in use - i.e 1920x1080, but pictures in this res get cropped, and the small part of the picture left is then 'zoomed' to fill the screen.
I tried some of the (very good) Windows 7 1200x800 pictures in the menuart folder, and same thing - they get cropped, and also become very dark - lots of the detail is lost.

"The background images are always showing the full width of the picture, anchored at the top of the picture since this is usually the most important part of movie posters or album covers. How much you see of the picture vertically depends on your tv shape setting."

I still don't get it:confused: - if it shows the full width, and the picture is the same res and shape as the TV, why is the picture still cropped? It seems like the GBPVR sreen must be a fixed or different res to that of the TV.

If you've got your tv shape set to 16:9 in the config app, and the picture is 1920x1080, then you should see the full picture. ie, the full width is always shown, height is proportional based on tv shape 1920/16*9=1080.

Ok thank you Sub I will try some different resolutions.
