Tkgafs, you should be okay with older versions, there is no forced validation with the GBPVR plugin support dll's You might even get FLAC and vobis native on the MVP, a bug was introduced in 1.4.7 that prevent this. If you are aren't using the version of ML2 that has the compatible database I would expect you will have issues.

I would be interested in knowing if you notice the scan speed improvements, you might want to record the time a full update takes with the old and the new.
