Just wondering, do you have a USBUIRT (I assume not, as you are using satellite)

Can you check what your channel changer is listed as in the capture source setup?
If it shows usbuirt, change it to "no channel changer required"

sat recordings in NZ are mpeg not h.264

if you install ffshow from the link i sent you (NOT the independent install which im guessing you have done)

then it should set the decoders up right for you
make sure you also select ffshow in the playback tab for mpeg

i tried both and thats the only way it would play back ".ts" recordings in windows media player which uses the the direct show filters that gbpvr does

I believe that you need to enable the H.264 decoder in ffdshow because it does not seem to be autoloading and connecting. You will also need to specify it as the default H.264 decoder in GBPVR config.

Once you do this, attempt to view LiveTV, then attempt to view a recording, then zip and post your logs again.

Ok I deleted all logs, set the codec's to ffshow and tried Live TV, and 2 channels from TV guide then recorded a channel

Bingo

I use a Dell USB remote (MS compatible) so I figured thats was a goos sub as there was no selection in list that suited most of it seems to work now..

Its probably related to the decoders you're using.

Does the recording play fine in VLC? ie not obvious signs of corruption etc?

Reproduce this problem in GB-PVR, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here the logs that you asked for.

Yes they play on with VLC, the file ass; is linked to WinTV 7 and that plays them too

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the decodrs are the problem. Try the same decoders as WinTV7 is using.

Will look on website to see what it use's,.. (the built in defaults seem to be hidden) and give them a shot.
