I've been using GB-PVR for about 3 years and have loved it. Now I've got a Hauppauge Media MVP and have it hardwired in, and get my GB-PVR to pull up great. I'm using an HVR-1600. Cool
My problem is how do I get it to play ISO files? I've read all the WIKI files and searched the forum but is there an "easy" way to get this thing to work? I started researching the fix but couldn't come up with a way to figure out a way to make it work with the Daemon tools and even VLC but didn't get either to work, probably because of my limited scripting skills.

Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated and it can't be described in too simple of terms for me (or even screenshots).

So this is a video thats stored on your hd as an iso file ?

Probably best to 'rip' the disc file down to avi or mpeg etc.,

I havent tried it, but Id think you're on the right track in your method.. use deamon (or others?) to mount the iso as a virtual drive, then point the video library (in gbpvr config) to that disc letter root (h:\)(for example).
Im not sure if the virtual drive would always have to be mounted for gbpvr to see/error/ignore/etc it or not..

Thanks Dave72. Any recommendations on a product for conversion to Mpeg if I give up on the ISO solution? ISO reading is what I'm shooting for but at this point I'm ready to look at other options as well. The Daemon tools looks like everything is pointing to the right location, I'll double check that my library is pointing the virtual device and see if I've missed something there and let you know.

MVP only plays MPeg natively. So you must convert. With a powerful server you can use e.g. XviD compressed files which are deflated on the fly.
There are a few threads dealing with this topic. Do a google search with keywords "play ISO GBPVR".

This is weird. I am in exactly the same situation and am coming to the MVP forum for help with the MVP and iso

I have a perfectly working GBPVR solution at home but i'm away for a few months and have a drive full of iso files and an MVP.

I the wiki the MVP does not play dvd or dvd isos but with the help of XDVD it should

XDVD was no longer supported in the last couple of years but should work with older versions of software.

This is no problem to me as i only need the playout and transcode side of GBPVR

Now i am running GBPVR version 0.98.13 and XDVD fires up but gets the problem with an unability to run a SQL command as documented here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=17136
execpt that the replacement MVP.dll no longer exists in the wiki and is not included in the latest build of the plug in.

Can anyone help with locating this DLL for me or us it seems?

Or does anyone have a copy of GBPVR pre 97.09 as they are not available from this site anymore:
"XDVD beta sqlite db patch
Since moving recently to GBPVR 97.09 and switching the database from ACCESS to SQLite this plugin has been broken. It complains about the fact that the database is no longer ACCESS."

Recent short fling with linuxMCE but dumped it when threatened with divorce(!) and came back to what i know...long live GBPVR![/SIZE]
