The mdapi filter is an old one-channel filter and should be scrapped. I have tested DVBDREAM which interfaces directly to ACAMD and I have successfully recorded 3 shows simultanously (decrypted on-the-fly while recording), using acamd and newcs. This prooves that acamd (and maybe other softcams) can decrypt more than one stream at a time, and while dvbdream can do it, it must be possible for gbpvr also Big Grin.

This way we would not need other software addons to record/watch multi encrypted channels, and that again makes things more easy to install/maintain. Ofcource there is nothing wrong with using a HW cam if one wishes so.

Sub, is there any chance you can delay the next release until these changes are implemented?

I second this Big Grin
Now testing this behaviour with DVBLogic TVSource which gives this functionality to GBPVR but requires an additional program which we would like to omit.

There is some changes on the MDAPI front in the next release. You'll have to wait to find out more though Big Grin

But can you answer this: should I invest money in the DVBLink program or should I wait for the new release Big Grin ??

I guess it depends if the changes in the next release work well for you or not. If you can stand to wait, then I'd suggestion you try the changes I've made, and if they dont really help you, then you can always take a look at DVBLink then.

I'm happy to let you try the pre-release when its available so you dont have to wait too long. This should be in about a week.

I'm eagerly waiting for the prerelease too, hopefully it solves my problems with win7, I'v put it on ice until I'v tested the new new release. And I'm, of cource, willing to spend some nights beta-testing Smile

I will wait eagerly for the new release then.
I only use the TV to occasionally record a show, but it is very shaky with the mdapi a.t.m. So I have not bothered to even try and fix it.
