It seems all of my recordings are in MPEG1(.mpg) and this causes me grief when i use my MVP (no timestamp, no FF/SKIP). How do you record them into MPEG2 format? Or am i way off base?

Man, you have got to learn to be more specific.
Is the file playing in MVP or does it just say 1 second with a still frame? Does it look like it should? Can you pause? Do you get audio? Does it play the whole file and then exit? Crashes? Does it do the same thing on your computer if you open the .mpg file?
Good lawd, we can't read your mind.
Windows XP
Athlon 64 3500+, 2GB
nVidia 7300GT, PVR 250
Yes, the file does play through the MVP. If i pause the video the progress bar shows a video length of 1 second. Yes everything looks like it should. Yes i can pause. Yes i get audio. Yes it does play the whole file. If i open the .mpg on my computer the progress bar shows the correct length of the video. My recordings are all done by my PVR-150 from within GBPVR. This issue comes from another post i had put up about not being able to use FF/SKIP, i am guessing the two are related.
I would be happy to be more specific, i am just not sure what other details to provide.
Its sounds like your cards is generating 'broken' MPEG2 files, which as you correctly point out does not contain valid timestamps. Are you running the latest version of the Hauppauge drivers?
Yes, i downloaded the latest (non-beta) install from their website last week. I could always take a chance and download the beta package they have available for download. Might be worth a shot.
