MovieWiz: Wishlist

I have moved a bunch of movies from one drive to another, due to lack of space.
In other cases I have renamed the movies or put them in subfolders (to get xml-files for them).

Usually I open the moviewiz.db3 in a sql-browser and edit the paths but I thought this should be done in a better way.

So the wish is that you add a column in the db for the files md5 hashcodes (the first file when it comes to folded movies). Then when you do a search for new movies, compare those hash to the ones in the db and change the path when needed (possibly after the user is asked).

Then it doesn't matter if files are moved or renamed, MovieWiz keeps track of them anyway.

Would this fit in your plan for the future of MovieWiz?

Have you looked at the "Sync Archived" function on the Manage Movies tab?

On the "Plugin Settings" tab, add the new target directories to the Archive Locations list. The plugin will automatically search these locations if the file is not found at the location in the db. To permanently update the location, the Sync Archive function will automatically update the DB with the new location.

Is that the functionality you were looking for?

Probably. I have looked at it but never really got it to work as I expected.
I'll try it again and see if I can get it to work.
