After a computer hardware glitch, I now start PVRX2 only to find my list recordings does not appear, even though all the recording files are still on my hard drive.

I assume PVRX2 maintains a database of recordings. Is there any way to reconstruct this database from the files on disk?

Or, if I'm totally off-base, is there any way just to get my recordings to show up in PVRX2 again?

If you look in your GB-PVR directory there should be a recording-dump.xml (it gets created each time it does an EPG update, the recording-dump.# are from earlier EPG updates) you can import this file from within config on the plugins tab.

Hello all,

I searched for this thread as I am in need of refreshing my recordings list after having to replace my main system hard drive (not the drive on which my recordings are stored).

Anyways, when I follow the instructions which worked so easily last time, I'm getting the following message:

No recordings were imported. The recordings either already existed, or the video files are no longer in their original locations.

I had to restore my main system drive from a back up drive image. The video drive was previously drive F: and remains so now.

Not sure what might be causing this... anyone?

I guess you'd have to have a look in the recordingsdump.xml and see if there are any discrepancies. You should also post your logs after the attempt. I don't know if the config logs will show any detail about the import, but always post logs just the same.
Also, if you haven't already, you may need to set your recording path in config to the same path as before, then exit and restart config; I'm not sure about this one, but it can't hurt.

I looked in recordingsdump.xml and it definitely does not match what's on my video drive.

I have also confirmed that my recording path in config is set to the same path as before (F:\gbpvr)

I have attached logs as requested.

Post your recordingsdump.xml (the one you're trying to import).

The recordings listed in the recordingsdump.xml appear to be the same as what your logs show as having already been imported. What am I missing?

Are you saying the recordings I listed above from your logs do not actually appear in your Ready recordings list?
