Thanks for letting me blab. I was getting rather frustrated, but it was a lot of little things that were keeping it from working. I also just noticed that instead of the codec for h.264 being picked directly. The system default was being used. I'm recording 15 minutes of video right now. And hope that I'll be able to play it back in PVRX2 with the correct codec specified in the playback options. I'm crossing my fingers. And I must say USB-UIRT is really working well! From what I understand you can use multiples of them unlike the blaster that comes with the HDPVR. That way you can control more than one box of the same type I'm thinking. Like two Cable boxes of the same type or something like that. You'd never be able to do that with only one unit because both boxes would respond to channel change commands being sent to the other box. I'm hoping the commands between the two boxes I have are not the same, and I'll be able to do it all with one blaster with two outputs. Switched CoreAVC codec, and can now watch my recordings and live TV from the HD-PVR. But a little choppy. I think a little work on the filter setup and I'll get it. My video card is onboard, so might not be up to the task. It is playing back recorded files in WMPclassic ok though. So I think I've got a good chance. I was so surprised to get video on the livetv, but didn't seem to have the audio. I'll work on it. But things are looking good.
GB-PVR 1.4.7, SilconDust HDhomerun Dual Tuner, AMD Phenom 2.6ghz? on Gigabit motherboard with HDMI output, on a 50" Plasma. HD-PVR1212 as my third tuner. And lastly PVR-500 added 4/1/10 as my fourth, and fifth tuners.
