I tried searching through the forum, but couldn't come up with anything. I was hoping there is a simple way to make snapshots of the screen while watching a show. I've got an episode of "Yard Crashers" I would like to make a couple of snapshots of to show my family. Is there an easy way to do this in GVPVR? I couldn't find it in the Wiki either. I'm hoping I missed something.

Thanks,

Mab

Alt-PrintScreen should do the trick.

"CTRL-T" while playing a recording/video. A JPG will be saved in the same folder as the recording/video with the same name as the file.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it would be that simple. Thank you both. I knew the alt-printscreen but knew that wouldn't work for the video feed. Ctrl-T it is! I'm going to try it right now.

For Live TV you will need to use alt-printscreen.

I didn't know Ctrl-T (thanks whurlston) but alt-printscreen works for any video I've tried.

CTRL-T works on .ts files for me with a pretty basic 1.4.7 install.

Well the show I had recorded was in Mpeg2 format so it did work. But if you are going to do anything with the code could you please make it so it will have successive file names. It just keeps over writing the same file. The first time I went through the program I hit cntrl-T multiple times and ended up with just one file. I ended up using VideoRedo to get the snapshots I wanted for now. I think this is a really nice feature to have. And the alt-printscreen function only saves the last attempt as well doesn't it? Usually when I'm trying to do snapshots I want more than one.
I honestly didn't know alt-prntscreen would work with the video feed. In the past when I've tried to do that with something like WMP as the source for video I would get a blank screen or a blank window. I'm going to have to give that a try with Gbpvr. It's been a long time since I've even attempted it.

Gbpvr totally rocks. No complaints from me whatsoever. I am hooked.

It would be sub that would change the code, not me. But the original reason for the CTRL-T function was to capture a screenshot for displaying in the Video library so that you could identify the video with a picture. It was not really intended for multiple/successive screenshots. You may need to look for a screen capture program for that. There are a few out there. Or as pBS mentioned, we may be able to do it via a plugin with the next version.
