Question about Haupblast.exe

Hi I have an HVR 1950 Hybird USB card and am curious as to how does the haupblast.exe work. Does it use the configuration set up in blast.cfg tool from hauppauge or is it something else. Reason why I ask is because the ir blaster did not work right out of the box with wintv 7 but when I choose the haupblast.exe for the channel changing plugin to have gbpvr change the channel on my cable box, it worked without any configuration. Thanks.

You have to use the Hauppauge configuration program to set up the blaster (at least with my earlier pvr150 one) their config tool sets the device driver up with the codes needed for the external device. Haupblast is just subs tools to call Hauppages dll entry and only passes the channel number.
