Yes, I could probably add the something to specify the decoders .mpg files. I've been doing .ts files for so long now, that I didnt really think about think about adding this. I wont be able to add it in the next few days though. Remind me towards the weekend and I'll take a look.

I forgot to disable this in the build. You can delete the '<MenuItem enabled="true">Test 3</MenuItem>' line from config.xml to get rid of it.

I'v heard some people say that they had success using ffdshow, I have never managed to get it working in NPVR, neighter for audio nor video, and I'v tried A LOT of versions :o

File metadata as generated by JavaWiz's MetaDataGrabber. Basically, moviename.jpg and moviename.xml files.

now i'm using the ffdshow software decoding for h264 easily with g41 motherboard..Big Grin [it doesn't have h264 hw,but plays bdrom excellently using sw decode with hardware deinterlacing help]

still seems to be lots of extra cpu usage during playback...any ideas?

During playback? At the end of the day, when no OSD graphics are on the screen, the CPU use is almost entirely down to the combination of the video decoder and video renderer. Given the same combination in GB-PVR and NPVR, I wouldnt expect to see any notable different between the two.

In list view or the default icon view? (Works for me too in the default view.) I have so much that side scrolling in that view is.... unrealistic. Big Grin
