Hvr-950q

I have a Hauppauge HVR-950Q (ATSC/QAM/analog) but its being listed in NPVR as a HVR-950 (ATSC). Any help on configuring this thing to work in NPVR would be much appreciated. Worked perfectly in GBPVR 1.4.7 (using tweaks that no longer seem to apply).

NPVR auto detects what a device is capable of by what the driver reports. Unfortunately your drivers are saying the device is only capable of ATSC and Analog. It doesnt report itself as being capable of QAM.

I'll probably have to add some code to allow this auto detection information to be ignored for certain devices we find that misreport their own capabilities.

It might be worth making sure you have the latest 950Q driver installed. It could be fixed in later drivers (since this is also what MCE does to detect the capabilities).

What version of Windows are you using there?

It just so happens that your new release coincided with my fresh install of Vista. I eagerly awaited the new release and decided not to reinstall GBPVR. Should I revert to GBPVR or is this something that may be updated soon? Not meant to rush or disrespect your hard work....just curious. Thanx

Thanx sub, didnt mean to come off as ungrateful....like the south end of a north bound mule. When i first installed GBPVR, setup and trouble shooting was overwhelming for a newcomer, NPVR seems like a quantum leap in setup simplicity. Thanx again.
