0kb recordings

I setup two recordings last night, the first was successful ending at 11:00 p.m on channel 4. The second started at 00:12 a.m on channel 4. I checked this morning & found I had a 0kb file.

I'm running a Nova 90002 & GBPVR 0.91.12b, XP Pro SP2

Any ideas what causes this or how I can track it down?

I dont think so, 86GB free on a 200GB drive !

This happened to me last week as well. I thought it was something to do with several recordings on the same channel but it tested this at the w/e & it worked perfectly

The same is happening now, I've got a 0kb file & the recordingservice is running at 99%

99% usually a sign of it crashing. Have you checked the logs ? there's a recodingservice log, and a gbpvr log

is a nova 9002 a digital card?
Just as a note
I've tried a pinnacle 300i digital card, and what I found was that the recordings would sometimes "crash/end" and the recording length was 0. I assumed it was when the signal quality was broken - but then I never really followed up on details, and just used the 350/150 cards.

i had the same problem - after I brought the box out of hibernation. it appears my TV-card may have issues with that - i have a Via Nehemiah M10000 and Hauppauge pvr-350 card. If I restart the box and set a recording to go there and then, it works. If set it for later and make it hibernate, I get a zero byte file.

could you could be experiencing the same problem?

edit - I also have 99% on the recording service.

I dont use hibernate, the pc is on 24/7

The problem prog is Landmarks which GBPVR has started & stopped

There are pending entries for May 15th still there, these did record successfully on sunday. Are these the cause of the problem?

Hi there!
I have the same problem.
I'm using WindowsXP Pro SP2 with Welltonway MMC editon of GB-PVR and TwinHan DVB-T card.
Only one of ten scheduled recordings are successful.
The are no entrys in the logs indicating that something went wrong, instead everything looks ok and the recording(s) are present in the GUI!
I have attached all the logfiles and the 0kb recordings.
