Where Does xmltv.xml Go?

I am running Windows 7 x64 in Los Angeles. The over-the-air EPG seem mostly empty, so I'd like to use Schedules Direct. I've obtained mc2xml and successfully downloaded the EPG data, which seems to be in file xmltv.xml (there's also a mc2xml.dat). If I want to use the data in xmltv.xml with NPVR, where does the file go (or are there other things I need to do)?

Ah, after poking around some more, perhaps I can start to answer my own question. It looks as if going to Settings | Channels | [select a channel] | Details you can select XMLTV as the EPG Source, then point SMLTV File: to wherever you store xmltv.xml. I don't have all my channel setups working right yet, but unless the steps above are wrong, I'll continue to struggle to get things going right. Sorry for cluttering up the forum with questions I answer myself.
