Put a test version of NPVR on my main HTPC today, which also meant my wife has spent some time trying it out too. She has a couple of requests Rolleyes

Will the mini-guide be making a return? With GBPVR, We actually use a slightly customized version of it that makes it identical to the main guide, but overlaid on the picture. Be hard to live without it now.

Could an option be added to reverse the up/down order for the now 'n' next feature? So you could press down to go up a channel. Why? Well as an example... BBC2 comes after BBC1 in the order and in the guide, and it felt wrong to her to be pressing "up" to move to the next channel "down" as seen in the guide (even though logically it's a higher number).

There was two guides available when watching LiveTV in GBPVR. One was the "mini-guide" accessed via Ctrl-G, and an equivalent in NPVR is shown when you press the up/down keys. The other was the small version of the full guide, accessed through the F1 key -= unfortunately this isnt possible at this stage, but may make a return in a later release.

To be honest, I'll doubt you'll see this added. It was the same in GBPVR though, so she should be used to it.

Thanks as always for the quick reply.

Silly question, but by "not possible" I assume you mean "not implemented (yet)" rather than being impossible to do?

It's certainly a feature we'd love to see (re)added in the future. Especially as you can't do the video inset with EVR, so the only way to check the full guide is to exit back to the menu. Being able to pop it up at any time and maintain picture/sound makes things so much easier/slicker.

How about also being able to do it with left (same as down) and right (same as up)? Or do they already do something?

I means it's not possible in the current NPVR infrastructure, and I'd have to create more plumbing behind the scenes to make it possible. As I said, it may return in a later release. Its likely to happen but there is lots of other stuff to be done in other areas too, so I cant give you an indication when.

That's ok. Always nice to know it might make an appearance though.

I'll add another new request here (for myself this time) rather than starting a new thread as it's super simple... could you add an option to stop the recording service to the tray app? It'd be dead handy for testing/development work.
