Guide Features Requests

I was showing off my GBPVR box to a Direct TV user. She was impressed. However, in discussions, she asked if it could do a few things, both seem like good ideas:

1. Allow several (named) "favorites" lists in the TV guide. This is important with DirectTV, since so many channels. Hubby and wife have different favorite channels, so named lists would be nice. The favorites list would simply limit the available channels to those selected fromt eh full list, based on user name or selecting sub-list from a list of favorite lists.

2. Search guide based on genre or theme or style or some such. For example, "Old Movies", "Football", etc. Currently a search exists for alphabetic only.

Both sound like nice features, second may be difficult unless there are pre-defined genre's somewhere.
