That's exactly why they don't work.
The plugin designers always default to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr and I REALLY WISH they wouldn't.
Does the location have to be hard coded into the plugin? No. So why?

I have started to use wise at work. I need to investigate and see what kind of free installation programs are available and start setting up installers for fastfind (going to rename it to xsearch), xrecord and theater listings plugins.

That should make it easier. What kind of error do you get Torque when you try to install fastfind?

reboot i doubt most plugin developers hardcode the gbpvr location, ive only hardcoded to default to that in one place, and thats for the database connection strings which you can easily change. gbpvr has a helper method to get gbpvrs installer directory which i expect most plugin developers use when they want the install directory.

Yeah, I suppose most don't, but I do know that RenameRecording is hard coded, which really peeved me off when I went to install it, because I had to reinstall gbpvr and set it all up yet again! Big Grin
