An update to Web Radio 3.2 has been uploaded to http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Plugin/NWebRadio.zip The main new feature in the plugin is basic support for Digital Radio. This feature was available in Web Radio 2 but sub has made it much easier to configure Digital Radio in NPVR.

To enable Digital Radio in NPVR, when you scan digital tuners all Digital Radio stations will be identified. Select any you want and map and name them like you name TV channels. Assuming you do not want to see them in NPVR's TV Guide edit config.xml to us
<HideRadioInTVGuide>false</HideRadioInTVGuide>

To enable Digital Radio in the new Web Radio 3.2 Config screen tick Digital Radio. The other options you can select are Favourites (saved in Web Radio) and Net Radio (save from GBPVR's Net Radio if it is on the same machine.

Good listening

Hi Martin!

What a good and fine work. Works excellent with nPVR under Windows 7. All previous versions of WebRadio never wanted to run on my systems (Win Vista / Win 7 / GB-PVR), but now i can finally listen fine musics. This is great!

But to get this version working i had the same problem as someone else withi Web Radio 3.1 before: An old DEVNZ registrykey from GB-PVR under HKLM. After reading the thread and removing this entry, Web Radio works like charm.

Is it possible to capture streams into splitted tracks? Like i would listening to a station and sond for song will be saved separetely?

Thank you, for this plugin. Smile

I will look into the registry setting issue, thank. I have no intend for Web Radio to be more than a listening plugin. I do provide a means to save a .CUE file to replay the current stream in the MusicBox plugin with track listings.

What do you think? Would it be possible to extend the capabilities of Web Radio with the possibility to listen fm radio from analog tv cards like hauppauge pvr150/500 or hvr 2200?

I was considering this in WR 2 but I hooked up FM using Hauppauge software and quickly realized (it had been a while) how mediocre the quality is and that it wasn't spending any effort pursuing.

During a scan NPVR will specifically identify Digital Radio stations, so if you do get an option to select them you should be able to listen with Web Radio. I have an HVR 1600 myself and I get around forty clear QAM digital audio channels.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the response. I did a qam scan and got 2 digital radio stations in my area but my cable provider has encrypted them so no luck. I also tried an over the air ATSC scan (using my fusion card & attic antenna) and only got the local TV stations in my area but no digital. I guess for me it's just internet radio.

Thank you for the plugin, it works well. I was wondering if there is a was to adjust the pre-play buffer size like in gbpvr. I have a couple of station that need the buffer set at 192 kb.

Start a post in the Web Radio support forum and provide the actual link of one of the stations, and I will give it a try to see if there is some other problem.

OK.

As a work around, I set-up the problem stations as type m3u so vlc takes over instead of the npvr default player.
