Sub,
I was really hoping that the new beta 1.5.28 would rectify the problems I am having with the 2nd instance of LiveTV or recordings. Reference my last post at http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...s-Programs
But the same problems appear in the new version on my system. I believe the problems are related, and since it is easier to test and recover from failures in LiveTV this is where I am focusing my efforts. Just to review, I am using an HDHR configured as ATSC/OTA and I have completely reinstalled my Windows 7 Ultimate system from scratch.
The first time I run LiveTV everything runs perfectly. If I escape out and then go back into LiveTV, I always get the message "Failed to communicate with recording service" even though the recording service is still running. If I try a third time, I get the message "Failed to start stream". If I restart the recording service, then LiveTV works again (but only once). I have attached my log files and was hoping you would have a minute to look at them.
The first instance of LiveTV in the logs looks like this:
The second one (which is a different channel) is much shorter and appears to me not to try to tune the channel (there is no <tuning> section in the log for this entry):
