MC2XML problems

Anyone else having problems with updating the EPG via MC2XML using Microsoft Legacy? I keep getting 'no new data available' even though it's been 4 days since the last update. This on 2 machines. I'm not sure if it's an MC2XML problem or a microsoft.com problem. If I delete the .dat file, it, of course, creates and new one and give me an updated guide. So, why won't it update something 4 days old?

Have you tried using the -f option?

Yes, I've had the -f option since day one. What I've been doing is every 4-5 days is just delete the .dat file and start over. I've waited as long as 7 days to see if it will up date on it's own but it hasn't worked in about 2 weeks. I've not tried Schedules direct in months.

You must have an old copy. Try a fresh one.

hmm.. apparently my mc2xml hasn't downloaded since 7-31... but mine wouldn't run at all. After a re-download of it, it worked with my old .dat file. I had a few copies of the .exe and none would work for me. I will keep an eye and report back.

I've been using it with the non legacy MS download for the images (although I still continue to pay for Schedules Direct) and it's been working fine for me.

Nah, I have the latest version. Same thing keeps happening. It's not like I can't continually delete the dat file and start over every 5 days or so but that's not what I prefer especially if you're away for awhile. NVPR and Updateepg.bat calls things just fine. It's definitely mc2xml from what I can tell so far.

I did a fresh install of OS/GBPVR on my system 2 days ago, and used an old copy of mc2xml I had around. It would not configure, just flashed a screen briefly, and that was it. I downloaded a fresh copy which worked fine... go figure. I also use MS legacy.

exactly what mine WAS doing. last night it seemed to run... time will tell. I believe I was running latest version as well. also mine was 2 copies of the file that would not run. weird.

I don't understand how a newer file would make a difference. It's the same mc2xml file I download each time as I see it hasn't been updated in a while.
