NPVR: Remote Control Keymappings

Being here for many years now, one re-occurring theme has always been the mapping of remote controls.

In NPVRs roomy new Settings area, would it be possible to add a section for mapping remote control keys? Both Hauppauge Remotes (Remote.ini) and MCE remotes could be supported since there is a way to map MCE remote keys in the Windows Registry (I use this and it's spiffy). A simple "Restore Defaults" could do just that.

You might even consider leaving this a bit open so those of us with slightly different/odd-ball remotes could add our own settings in a community based fashion.

I think this is the one area that's "rough around the edges" for new users.

One more thought to add: this could go "both ways" and allow internal NPVR keystrokes to be custom mapped to accommodate keyboards, mice, and combo MCE/Keyboard/Mice devices to be used as well. For example, many "new" MCE remotes that offer mouse control are just HID keyboard/mouse devices with their keys just mapped as keyboard keys e.g. 1, 2, 3, clear, home, etc. Having the ability to remap keyboard commands to NPVR lets you use these devices too.
