nowplaying?

Getting my feet wet with plugin development by creating a little audio app. I can play audio files from my plugin, and "now playing" shows on the main menu and screen saver, but I have been unable to figure out how to make it appear on my plugin screen. I have browsed the libraries and all the code samples I could find, but nothing has jumped out at me. Is this a skin configuration item, or do I need to add something to my code? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

The now playing info should appear automatically on all screens.

If you want to know the current song though, you can implement the IEventNotification interface, and call EventBus.AddListener(this), and you'll be notified of stuff like songs starting.

Thanks for the quick response. The notification sounds like a nice feature, I'll take a closer look.

Still puzzled by "now playing", though, since you say it's supposed to be automatic. It shows on the main menu, and the native music library and net radio screens, but not on any other screens, including mine.

Something to do with Windows 7 X64 perhaps?

Sounds like you are writing for GB-PVR and not N-PVR

Yes, that is correct. I started this project some months ago, and thought I would just finish it up before making the jump to NPVR and starting over. Is this a known limitation in GBPVR?

GBPVR only showed this stuff on the main menu by default, and plugins would need to explicitly add code to show 'now playing' info.

This all happens automatically in NPVR.
