From looking at Net Radio I assumed (never a good idea) that any change to the contents of @nowPlaying triggered a Notify CurrentAudioTrack event.

When I run the DVB-T Radio beta, @nowPlaying displays the Station Name, but I don't get a CurrentAudioTrack event, except for the 'GBNetRadio...' one.

I've missed something, haven't I?

The netradio screen explicitly fires the CurrentAudioTrack event each time it knows the song changes. This information is in the stream it is downloading.

In the case of Brian's DVB-T radio plugin, GB-PVR only knows its playing a .mp3 file - it knows nothing about the contents of that mp3 file. If his plugin knows more about what is in the stream, then he can explicitly create CurrentAudioTrack events. Its not something GB-PVR can determine automatically.

Sorry, OP was a little vague...

I don't expect to get the currently playing track from DVB-T Radio, but the @nowPlaying field in the NowPlayingPanel when in Main Menu displays the name of the station I am listening to e.g. "BBC Radio 2"... I don't get that info from Notify, but you obviously get it from someplace?

This is because the DVB-T plugin is explicitly setting the @nowPlaying, but not firing the CurrentAudioTrack. Just because @nowPlaying has changed does not mean that the track is changed, so the app doesnt assume the two equate. The plugin would need to explicitly fire this event.

OK - I give up. How do I fire this event?

I do some event handling specific to the plugin but I've never worked out how to fire any of the GB-PVR events.

I thought there was method on the IPluginHelper, but I just checked and found there wasnt. I'll add it for the next release.

LOL - I kept going back to IPluginHelper thinking "Hmmm... there must be something here surely..."

So I'm not going totally mad then. Big Grin
