unicode support

I am working on an xml grabber for the Chinese satellite TV programs here is the State. Before that could happen, the xmltv parser in GBPVR needs to be able to support unicode characters.

If I take any xmltv generated files (english only), open it up in notepad and save as unicode. GBPVR will refused to load it.

On the same note, the music and video library does not support unicode either. An music file with a Chinese character in the files name will not be player by GBPVR, and if the id tag field is Chinese, junk is display on the screen.

I would expect other unicode language would have the same problem, anybody has similar problem?

I'm not an expert in this area, but send me over an XMLTV file and I'll see if I can get it to load.

I suspect that it'd be reasonably easy to get the XMLTV files reading correctly, but suspect the skins are not really setup for these character sets. They use fonts like Tahoma and Arial, which I suspect aren't able to display these characters. I'm not sure what would happen in these cases.

I can send you a file with Chinese characters. But if you just open any xml files in notepad, and save as, then choose unicode, you will get a file that GB-PVR is not happy with. I would think if you could parse get it parst unicode files, Chinese should not be the problem.

I think the skins are ready (at the default one). It will correctly display a file with a chinese filename. But the file will not be played. I can also send you a short one for testing. Files with english name but Chinese Id tags will display junk, but play fine.
