Hi!

I can receive 125 channels (needs a couple of scans to get them all). This is including both TV and radio-channels.

However, I'm missing several channels (I think it should be like 140 total).

Examples of missing channels:

- Viasat 4
- Discovery Channel HD

The card is a Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD w/CI (not in use).

Any suggestions?

Have you checked signal strength? A too strrong signal is almost as bad as a too weak signal.

Hmm... It should be like 80-100% signal. But sometimes after scanning a couple of channels, it just goes to 0% throughout the scan. Don't know why.

Actually NPVR is the only software getting any signal at all. MediaPortal, the included software or Windows Media Center doesn't find any channels.

Is there a frequency that's not included or what?

It could also be the driver for my TV-card...

God, I'm really tired of this problem. It's only a couple of bugs left;

- Slow channel shift
- Missing some channels
- Missing sound on some channels (this is being fixed with new codecs)

Strange that MP does not find any channels, sounds like a weak signal. What hardware and OS are you using? Do you have any splitter or other signal sharing device connected? And where are you located?

Edit: Just saw your oyher post re. HW, I use two of those cards and channel switching is about half a second.

I would also check your transponder list NPVR is using for scanning. For me the included file did not have all frequencies updated. On top of my head I am not 100% sure where it is but you could check "Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\NPVR\Scanning\DVB-S\3592.ini". Make then sure that all your frequencies are listed. You find a complete list of Thor 5/6 transponders and frequencies at http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/canaldigital.html.

For DVB-S2 channels you also need to apply a patch and edit the S2 part in the frequency list replacing S2 with the decimal translated binary value suitable for CanalDigital (38 is working for me). See thread http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...ter-1.5.31 for more info on DVB-S2 and which patch you need to apply.

I assumed we are talking cable here since the card is Cinergy C PCI HD, but just to clear this up, are we talking cable or satellite?

We're talking Cable dude.

You helped me set up newCS + Acamd, remember reddwarf? Wink

The signal is good actually. It seems like there's a problem with Windows 7 x64 + this card (Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD (CI).

What's your OS, which driver version on the cards?

I'm soooo close.

And btw: when "MPEG" is chosen as a codec (SD-Pack) I get twice as fast sound on animal planet :p

The first thing you should do is find out where exactly these channels are being transmitted on your cable system (ie frequency, symbol rate and modulation), then we can check your npvr.log file after a scan to see if it's scanning that same frequency+symbolrate+modulation.

Ok.

Any good software that easily might find my channels information?
