Is there any support for the Medion Hybrib DVB-T PCI Card based on the Phillips SAA7134 Chipset ?

I noticed you support the BlackGold and Lifeview products, there software works with the Medion Card... will GB-PVR ??

Thanks

If Medion support BDA drivers, then it might work. You'd need to uninstall there normal drivers to install BDA drivers.

Using other software, like showshifter or MyTheatre, the card is detected as 'Medion BDA', Should that work ?

Thanks

You'll need to add a new section to bda.ini for you card. If you use the forum search feature you'll find posts about using graphedit to find the information you need to add to this file.

BDA.ini is one of the files installed by GB-PVR. If you dont have it, then you have a bad install, and should uninstall/reinstall.

BDA.ini is a GB-PVR file, and nothing to do with those apps.

As someone who recently got this particular Medion tuner card working as a 2nd tuner card, with the author's [GBPVR] help, I can provide a working definition of what to add to the gbpvr "bda.ini" file to make it work:

[Medion SAA7134 DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=MEDION BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=MEDION BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=Output1

Once added, start the "Config" utility:
- define a new "Capture Source" using the Medion card,
- define your tv listings source, e.g. XMLTV
- update the EPG to populate the list of tv channels
- use the map tv channels feature to tune in channels through the Medion tuner card, then tick entries to enable & map the correct EPG channel name to the correct tuned in channel.
- save everything and start testing your card

regards
