Thought I'd take the time to give you guys some specific feedback on issues I have found (weren't sure where to post, and I mentioned at least one of these issues in an earlier post - sorry for the dupe, but I thought it would be handy all in one post)

Software: Ver 0.92.8 + My Videos 4.0 + ME skin (update)
Hardware: PVR-150, MVP (more detail in sig)

Ver 0.92.8* -
1) .wma files play fine on my MVP; I tried this with a single file and a playlist
2) mini-guide does not display programme info
3) Re .avi's, Trans2MVP no longer appears to build the graph with FFDShow correctly (for me anyway). I have included a zip containing graphedit snapshots and trans2mvp logs from before and after the upgrade.

* Verified with the 'Blue' and 'ME' skins, these results are not skin-specific

ME skin (update)** -
1) Attempting to schedule recordings from the guide, OSD guide, fast find, crashes immediately to 'contacting servers' then Main Menu
2) Pressing 'OK' within My Videos 4.0 to view movie info, actor info, etc., crashes immediately to 'contacting servers' then Main Menu

** Verified with the 'Blue' skin, both these issues occur only with the updated ME skin.

Hope this helps - thanks for all the work.

You're probably better off posting you ME Skin feedback separately, in the Plugin and Skin Forum no less, as it's more likely to be seen by the author.

Trans2MVP hasnt actually changed in the last release. By the look of your logs, something about the filter setup has changed on your machine.

Trans2MVP effectively calls a Microsoft API with the request "Render me a graph of filters that can play [insert filename here]", and your system picks which filters to use. This is what Trans2MVP has done since it was created, and this wasnt changed in the last release.

Thanks for taking a look for me - I'm pretty sure I haven't knowingly changed anything, but I'll check through it again...

1. fastfind is supported by the me skin
2. which guide are you referring to exactly? the miniguide or the tv guide, or both?

can you test this on the pc, if its only a problem with the mvp, i wont be able to fix, and to be honest i just dont care (i dont use a mvp). if the problem happens on the pc ill fix it (i use a custom widescreen version of the media experience skin, so i dont really check things in the normal one before releasing it, just a quick test).

oh and i didnt bother skinning the mini guide (well changing it from the default one, becuase well i dont use it, i use the live tv guide).

There is a known issue in v0.92.8 where the mini-guide is not showing descriptions. I'll fix it in a maintenance release in the next view days.

I've just checked the history of the Trans2MVP.cpp file which is the one and only file that makes up Trans2MVP.exe, and the only change between the v0.91 and v0.92 was a couple of addition logging messages.

If GB-PVR takes over 8 seconds to respond to the MVP after a keypress, then the MVP disconnects. This maybe what you've seen in the My Videos if its an operation that can take a while. Try the same thing on the PC, and see how long it takes.

Any guide - the OSD Guide, The TV Guide, Fast Find - produces the same result, ie dumps out immediately on 'schedule record'. It's definitely not the 8 sec disconnect - I sometimes see that with online dependent plugins, such as check email, etc.

I've reverted back to the standard blue skin at the moment - I'll try out your suggestions on the PC tomorrow night and report back.

Thanks again.

Since my last post, I've reinstalled the Media Experience skin (just in case I did something goofy the first time) and tested scheduling recordings on the PC. I've tried to schedule recordings using the guide, search guide, and fast find.

All attempts have given the same result: If I select 'Record' it returns "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". This is immediately before the 'recording settings' pop-up should be displayed.

I checked again with the default blue skin, and that works fine - the problem is just with the updated ME skin.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
