1) On the TVGuide, on TV1's "MasterChef Australia", I hit ENTER, and chose Record > "Record Season" and hit ENTER again.
2) I navigated to the next day or two and noticed that "MasterChef Australia" was on again, but it wasn't showing the red box, as I'd expected all episodes to have been marked for recording.
3) I went back to the original "MasterChef Australia", which was showing red, and hit ENTER. I chose Update, but the Recording Type box showed "Record Once", not the expected "Record Season". What's more, I couldn't use the right arrow key to cycle through any more options. It only allowed a "Record Once" option.

This is not the first time this has happened on various recordings.

I've noticed that the first show appears in red but the following shows dont always show up as red in the guide but if you look in the pending list they are actually set. However I have also had a few that just haven't been set to record. I assumed it was due to the naming differences. For example, the Grand Prix's on BBC1 are called something like "Formula one: the Brazilian Grand Prix" or what have you. Under GBPVR I could set it to record the season off any one race and it would record the lot. Under npvr it didn't. Maybe it's nothing to do with the name and sometimes it just doesn't work?

I think there may have been a little buglett in gbpvr with name matching. I'm sure I read that it was doing a left justified substring match.
This was a problem for some things - but very handy for things like you mention.

I think there may still be some little bugs with the TV Guide showing future recordings properly marked in red, particularly for recordings that were just scheduled; after an EPG update it is more likely to show correctly. This doesn't affect the recordings themselves, it's just a display issue.
You can look at the Pending list in the Recordings screen to confirm that future episodes are scheduled to record.

This is expected behaviour. You're looking at a single recording now, even if it is the one from which you created a season recording. If you want to change properties of the season recording itself, you need to go into the Recordings screen and look at the Recurring list.

Yep, I'v seen this also and got a bit scared. What the *%#, are all my season recordings gone? But when I looked at Pending they were all there and next day they were red again
