Failed recording - device failed to start

I keep getting failed recordings with the message "Device failed to start". Any idea why this is happening?

Edit: now I notice that some of my recordings are 0MB in size. Also any recordings that I can watch are all choppy. I tried watching live TV and it was choppy for a few seconds and then the computer just got a BSOD. WinDBG of course points to ntoskrnl.exe as always.. worthless information...

I guess the 0x00000116 error does seem to be related to the video driver, but why would that crash and capture cards be crashing all at once?

I have the same issue with my NPVR.

I know that there was a memory issue with the .33 version of NPVR. You can download the patch here:

I haven't installed the patches yet, but that is because i couldn't find a patch that relates directly to this issue.

This issue was posted on the same 'Patches' thread as an issue that they are watching and waiting for a resolution. I'm not sure whether it has taken a different name and been fixed.
